Day 6- The Southern Rim
I've been thinking about my Pa-T ever since we arrived at the Grand Canyon. He was right, words can do nothing to describe the wild beauty of this place. It is truly humbling to be standing on the rim of such a huge, enveloping expanse of nature, knowing that you are minuscule in comparison. Michael took this picture with his iPhone, of all things, and it is one of the best pictures we have taken.
On the rim. Sitting down with my feet dangling over the edge. The camera angle makes it look like I'm standing with my toes off, but I'm not that brave (or stupid)!
This plaque was posted on the wall of one of the lookout spots, and I thought it captured the aura of this place so eloquently. My first glimpse of the Grand Canyon brought tears to my eyes. I imagine that at the beginning of time God delighted in creating this masterpiece knowing that it would be admired by us for centuries. His love truly endures forever.
