The second set of goodies I brought home from our Colorado trip is from my friend Katie, who is also Michael's cousin's wife. She is the talent behind www.lemonjitters.com, a blog about all things crafty. I visit her site often, and she gives great ideas, tips, and tutorials for DIY projects. She's created a crafty itch in me that has not been there before.
I commented once on this gorgeous piece of "paperwork" that she displayed last month on her blog. To my delight she presented me with the exact card she crafted when we arrived at their apartment. It's the pink one down there that is just darling. It will probably just sit in my room forever because it is too cute to actually write on!
The second object she gifted me is the pretty gold chain and pearl bracelet you see there hanging from the drawer of my new "jewelry box." It's from a line Katie has reviewed on her blog in the past from Tori Spelling. Katie was wearing the most adorable necklace from this line when we met up last Sunday. I can't wait to style my own bracelet!
Finally, she presented me with a book she'd read recently by Margaret Atwood, an author we mutually like. I've not read this one before, so I'm anticipating diving in. Hopefully I can finish it before school starts.
