{Baby Davis} 13 Weeks + Nursery Inspiration

Date:: April 2, 2013

How far along:: 13 weeks

Gender:: Unknown

Movement:: None that I can feel.

Symptoms::
~ Much more energy!
~ I haven't had nausea in almost two weeks.
~ I really feel back to my old self. It's crazy because I don't even feel pregnant this week. Good thing we heard the heartbeat at the doctor this past week or I might be getting worried!

Craving:: Mainly orange juice and whole, organic milk. I've also been yearning for these apple cider cupcakes with salted caramel frosting from a recipe I saved on Pinterest. Of course, I'd probably be craving those whether I'm pregnant or not! I'll have to post how the recipe turns out when I finally have the time to make them :)

Looking Forward To:: We still have several weeks, but we are both ready to know if it's a boy or a girl.

Fun Baby Fact:: Baby is now covered with a fine layer of downy hair all over his/her body. What? Yeah, you read that right. Apparently its purpose is to keep Baby warm until more fat accumulates on its body. Then the hair will shed.

Weekly Development::
~ Baby's body is growing longer.
~ Hair and eyebrows are starting to grow.

Emotions:: Calm, peaceful, satisfied, anticipating the future

Best Moment of the Week::
~ No. 1= HEARING BABY'S HEART BEAT!! Michael and I were both smiling ear to ear. Man, what an indescribable feeling.
~ Doctor said "everything looks perfect" during our short visit.
~ We chose a paint color for Project Nursery! Sherwin Williams "Requisite Gray" it is.
~ We also bought the chandelier that will be hanging in Baby's room. It's small and sweet. I love it!

Here are a few pictures from Pinterest that we're modeling our nursery after.

No doppler pic. No pictures at all. In fact the appointment was only like 15 minutes. He literally walked it, listened to the heartbeat, and said everything was perfect and he'd see us in a month. Apparently from here on out they will be checkups in the very essence of the word.
