{Baby Davis} 17 Weeks

Date:: April 2, 2013

How far along:: 17 weeks // 4 months 1 week

Gender:: Unknown- but soon! Oh, so soon. Less than a week away!

Movement:: I know this little Lima bean is moving because I've watched him/her! Hopefully he/she will be big enough for me to feel in a few weeks.

Symptoms::
~ Is happiness a symptom of pregnancy?? I've had an overwhelming feeling of happiness lately. Sometimes I just look at Michael and say "I am so happy right now." I feel very content and satisfied. This is a wonderful time in my life. I can't really describe it other than that. :)
~ Oh, and my clothes are getting smaller.

Craving::
~ I want milk. All the time. We've gone through a gallon and a half in one week. I've been trying to pace myself by drinking a small glass in the morning and a small glass in the evening, just for the sake of saving money! Organic milk isn't cheap! (Perhaps this means Baby's bones are getting stronger?)

Looking Forward To::
~ The ultrasound that reveals the gender of Baby!
~ I also crave the moments that we can see Baby on any type of machine, so I am looking forward to a prolonged period of time of just watching him/her.
~ Still waiting to feel those dance moves :)

Fun Baby Fact::
~ Baby is (supposedly) as long as a sweet potato. This is really getting very hard to imagine.
~ Baby has mastered the art of yawning! So sweet! I hope we get to see this on the ultrasound next week.

Weekly Development::
~ Baby's neurons are connecting from the brain to the muscles this week.
~ Also, cartilage thoughout Baby's body is turning to bone. (okay, THAT'S why I've been wanting milk so much!)

Emotions::
~ Complete, utter happiness
~ Increasing fondness for Baby; I believe last week I used the word smitten, and that still seems to fit.

Best Moment of the Week::
~ Finally got started in the nursery! It's going to be a long process, but well worth it come April. I can't wait to spend precious, quiet moments there. I realize there will also be loud, stinky moments, and colicky, worrisome moments, but that's okay. I'm looking forward to that room being a comforting place no matter what's happening inside.
