{Baby Davis} 10 Weeks

Due Date:: April 2, 2013

How far along:: 10 weeks

Gender:: Unknown

Movement:: Not yet. Baby is too tiny.

Symptoms:: Increasing fatigue, especially in the afternoon; increasing nausea in the evening (still no vomiting, although I've been hanging my head over the toilet feeling as if I'm going to);

Craving:: chips and salsa (I make my own but have altered my recipe so it doesn't include cumin or garlic, yuck right now!); homemade honey mustard with wheat crackers; fruit, specifically cantaloupe, strawberries, grapes, and apples; lots and lots of water. Still no cooked veggies.

Looking Forward To:: No more nausea, please!

Fun Baby Fact:: Baby's head is equal in length to the rest of his/her body. Top heavy!

Weekly Development::
~Baby's hair follicles and fingernail beds are forming. Clippers are going on the to-buy list.
~Although we can't tell the gender of Baby yet, testes or ovaries are forming this week.

Emotions:: Elation! Relief to openly tell friends and talk about it with others. Affection for Baby is growing!

Best Moment of the Week::
~Telling close friends that we're pregnant!
~Finding out a friend in my Bible study group is pregnant, too! We're due at about the same time. It's been so much fun to talk to her and compare what's going on in our bodies.

I also started a pregnancy journal this week. In it I'm writing letters to Baby, prayers for Baby, stories about how we found out we were pregnant, reactions of parents, and weekly info similar to what I'm posting on here. It is a little time consuming to write down everything I'm thinking and feeling, but I think it will be worth it when I want to look back and remember my first pregnancy.

Also this week, Baby Davis recieved his/her first baby gift! M and I spent the night with my parents over the weekend, and there was a neatly wrapped present waiting for us on my old bed. What was inside? Disney's Nala and Simba stuffed animals. So sweet!

I cannot express in words how immensely excited I am for you!!! Congratulations to you and Michael!!! You will be such awesome parents ;) I craved chips and salsa and guacamole (had to be homemade) with Isabelle. That was all I ate for several weeks in the early weeks, lol! Can't wait to watch Baby D grow!!
