Life Is Good.

Someone told me again today that I look like Katie Holmes. I'm never quite sure when people say that to me if they are referring to the 17-year-old Joey from Dawson's Creek or the other half of TomKat. Either way, though, I take it as a huge complement. It is great for my self-esteem. A new development in my life is that I joined choir. Yes me. Choir. I never thought I would say those two words in the same sentence. However, I have decided to change my lifestyle and start doing things for me because I want to do them. A friend recently told me, "Jana, you've got to do what you need to do for you." So I am! And I love it. I love choir. I feel that at least one aspect of my life is in harmony. (Sorry, bad joke.) I had to fill out a form with my contact information, and on the back of that form was a kind of interest inventory with several different options of activities in which choir members can participate. There was a box for sign interpretation, and it just so happens that I am taking a sign language class this quarter. I've always thought that sign interpreters were fascinating to watch. I've always wanted to be that person who signs in front of the choir or speaker. Now I might actually get that chance! Needless to say, I checked that box real quick. I am doing alot of things that are making my life richer, more fulfilled than it used to be. I actually feel that this is exactly where I am supposed to be: reading, writing, singing, signing, meeting new people, being BFF with my sister. More than likely, none of these things would be happening right now if I hadn't listened to the God of my heart. I would not be as peaceful, joyful, or content as I am right now if I had not followed His plan for my life. "I'm acting as if this blue sky is never going to rain down on me...Unless there is something I've missed, I'm acting as if." ~As If
