Running Again!

Last week my doctor released me to do two things that are going to make my life much more normal: 1. I get to drive again 2. I can start back running! I ran a mile on Saturday and a mile and a half today. It feels so good to start a running routine again. I'm being inspired by several of my friends who have recently run or are currently training for a half-marathon. I would dearly love to sport a snazzy looking 13.1 sticker on my car one day. I love remembering and talking about the days when I used to train, so what's stopping me now? I love to run. I love the way it makes me feel: cleansed, accomplished, purposeful, confident, healthy, and serene. Therefore, I have decided to start training for a half-marathon. Yes, it will take time. Yes, it will take commitment. Yes, there will be days when I'll whine and want to skip my run. Nevertheless, I'm going to do it. Michael said he wanted to do it with me, which solidifies my decision now that someone will be holding me accountable. I can't wait to get started!
