Finally An Update!

Ever since I've gotten engaged I've been completely remiss in updating my blog! I was shocked to discover how mind-boggling-ly(yes, I just made that word up) busy I have become. But before the update.......
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS ARE GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL!
The words that I have been thinking and hoping all season are actually about to happen. I can't imagine what it must feel like to lifelong fans like Michael who have waited their entire lives for this one moment in history. I've never been into football, but this year, this ride I have taken with Michael on the back of the Saints has been indescribable. When Michael and I started dating, one requirement he had was that he wanted a girl who could cheer for the Saints with him. So I cheered for the Saints. But now, now I cheer for the Saints not because they're Michael's team; I cheer for the Saints because they're MY team: a team of hope, passion, faith, perseverance, integrity, leadership. tenacity, and spirit. I support them not because I'm on a bandwagon or because they're winning; I cheer for the New Orleans Saints because of who they are and what they represent. I am proud to be a part of the Who Dat Nation. NFC Champions! Superbowl Bound!
Now for wedding plans. It's amazing how much we have gotten accomplished over the past month and a half that we've been engaged. I can't believe we only have 20 weeks left until the wedding! And if those 20 weeks go by as quickly as the past 6 have then I'll be married before I can blink. So far we've chosen the date, the ceremony location, the reception location, our photographer, the wedding colors, the wedding theme, the tuxes, the bridesmaids dresses, the caterer, and my wedding gown. Whew! Still to go: rentals, invitations, florist, registry, honeymoon, ah! never mind I can't think of it all right now or my head may very possibly explode. What I'm trying to say is we've come a long way in a short amount of time! I've been so busy that I haven't even had time to read(gasp!) I know, right?! CRAZY. I have not updated my blog much either. But I was thinking today at school, what a travesty if I were to go all the way through my engagement and be so busy that I never document anything. That scared me. I want to remember every moment. Even though many of my moments have included stress and frustration, ha! Nevertheless, this time will only come once in my life. I'm going to make the absolute most of it; squeeze every last drop, soak up every ray, drain the last sip, until I am saturated with the memories. From this moment I am committed to sharing everything, little and large, with my blog.
Also, I would like to put a plug in for my friend(and bridesmaid!) Kelsey's blog. She has been a wonderful friend to me throughout college, and she was recently married! As a result, she has started a new blog to document her new adventures in her new life. Please visit knwhitlock.blogspot.com. It's well worth it!
In addition, if you would like to read an indepth account of my and Michael's story and details concerning our wedding, please visit our wedding website.
