I love my homemade centerpiece for out dining table! It's colorful, creative, and my own! Grandmother brought some home grown veggies from her garden to me, and I couldn't resist making them into an arrangement in my new wrought iron fruit bowl that was given to me by my best high school friend for our wedding. Then, I placed the oranges we bought on our last grocery shopping trip into a family heirloom crystal bowl I inherited from my late great aunt. I placed them on the table, but still something was missing. Then I remembered that 2 weekends ago at our local town festival I found this great white porcelain vase for, get this, 25 cents! I told Michael as we passed the sidewalk sale, "Ok, I can't pass up that vase for 25 cents! I know I can do something with that!" So I ran and grabbed it from my kitchen windowsill and waltzed outside to cut a few sprigs of Crate Myrtle blooms I have in my front yard. Perfect! It was exactly what I was picturing! Just had to share my new victory in homemaking!

You need to come decorate my house! And I got my layout from "the cutest blog on the block" website. just google that. it has banners and layouts that match.
Love your centerpiece! It is much better than my bowl of mail/stuff and pen cup. :)
